I put my feet on the hot sand of San Teodoro beach. I walk into the water. I’m immediately cooled down. I put my snorkel on and have a long and refreshing swim. We hire a paddle boat with a slide. We go out to the deeper water and slide down. It is awesome! By the time we leave this magical beach it is already the afternoon. On the car ride home we stop for the most amazing gelato! I had coconut and lemon a mix that I will never forget. When we finally arrive home it is dinner time. We were so tired that we didn’t go out to eat we just had a small dinner of cereal.
I walk outside and feel the sun penetrate my skin. I walk to the pool and feel the refreshing water on my skin. This resort is truly amazing. Later that day we finally get out of the pool and go to the airport to pick up my Nan and Pa. After a long time driving we finally sit down at a restaurant. Restaurant was inside a small but beautiful Piazza. had the best fried squid ever! You could still taste the salt of the squids last resting place before I devoured it. After dinner we set out to the night market. It was very exciting. You could see the culture seeping out of every shop, different or the same. Soon after that we arrive at our resort cabin and fall into a deep and dark sleep.
I wake up and head down to the breakfast buffet being served at our resort. Shortly after we finish breakfast we catch the shuttle bus and go down to the the beach. I put my foot down on the sand my feet sizzle like a sausage on a barbeque. I quickly run into the water and instantly cool down. I put on my snorkel and swim into the deep and dark waters of the Mediterranean sea. Once I put my head down I instantly see a school of large fish. I stay in the water for what feels like hours. I walk out of the ocean and instantly feel the heat that I was protected from in the water. I grab my towel and dry off. We catch the next shuttle back to Geo-village. For the rest of the day we relax at the luxurious pool.
On the third day of Rome we went to the colosseum. It was absolutely incredible. Some facts about the colosseum are: sometimes the colosseum was filled with water and used for naval battles. Gladiators were either free men or slaves, free men chose to be gladiators because they were payed as much as a soldier gets payed in a year! The colosseum stands 50 meters tall. The colosseum was usually used for gladiator fights and the day that the fighting stopped in the colosseum was the same day as a priest stepped on the colosseum and told everyone to stop fighting. Sadly, people threw stones at him until he died. Later that day we went to the Candem markets. Everything there was so cheap. I bought three shirts and it only cost me about twenty dollars. After, we went to Piazza Navona and walked back to our apartment. Later that day we had the best pizza ever. Soon after that we walked home and fell to sleep with a happy feeling that our time in Rome had not been wasted.
Rome day 2:
We set out on an expedition to Piazza Novona (a piazza is a square with a monument inside it.) We walk through the thick heat of Rome weather. Passing markets, restaurants and many other Rome delights. As we reach the Piazza we see three fountains reaching insane heights and defying human logic. In the piazza there were many street performers and small market stalls. As we walk on we see a majestic building called the Pantheon. We keep walking all the way until night time in the grueling heat. After dinner we finally arrive at our luxurious apartment to fall into a deep sleep. That’s our last day in Rome.
Rome day 1:
We step out of the train station and feel the hot and humid air. We see the old buildings and the busy streets. We smell the tobacco from the cigarettes that many people smoke. We hail a cab and ask him to take us to the hotel. We arrive at the apartment and we have to wait in the hot air with sweat dropping off our faces for a long and gruelling hour as we wait for the lady to bring us our keys. After we drop off our bags at the apartment we take a stroll to find a restaurant. Once we sit down I order a cold and refreshing lemonade and a hot and exquisite spaghetti bolognese. The food was amazing. Shortly after we walk home and quickly fall to a deep and dark slumber. That’s our first day in Rome.
We’re at Paris now. It is absolutely amazing. The croissants are mouth watering. The streets are very busy. One car will be straight on diagonal and one sideways. It was hectic!
One the first day we went around Paris on the hop on hop off tour bus. We saw the Eiffel Tower and many other Paris monuments. That is the only thing we did in Paris on the first day. It may not seem like much but when you’re tired from a long train ride it feels like a full action packed day.
On the second day we went to the old and magnificent Notre Dame. The windows inside were amazing. The were stained glass and each one had a different significant pattern or picture told through a window. After that we went to the Eiffel Tower. It was truly stunning: you couldn’t keep your eyes off it. Sadly we didn’t go up there because the line was very big and long. That’s our last day in Paris.
On our third day we went to the train to go to Rome. In the middle of the trip we had to swap trains to get to Rome. Unfortunately we stopped in the wrong place and had to get tickets for the train to the other station. On the train to the other station dad’s wallet got stolen. But that’s where our bad luck ended. After that we were very lucky and just made it on to the other train to Rome with no time to spare.
On the last day of London we did something very special. We went to see a musical called Billie Elliot. We had seats eleven rows from the front and could see very clearly. The play was about a boy named Billie who wants to be a ballerina. But his brother and dad don’t want him to because it costs lots of money and they’ve just lost their jobs. In the end Billie gets a scholarship for the Royal Ballet School. That was our last day in London.
White chapel is where we are staying at in London. It has quite a disturbing history. 1. White chapel is where Jack the Ripper murdered all his victims. 2. White chapel is where the Elephant man was kept in a cage. 3. White chapel is also where Ronnie Cray committed a famous murder.
Thats Whitechapel’s disturbing history.
On the 5th day of London we went to Baker Street 221 which is Sherlock Holmes house. It was very old it had lots of books and many other historic artifacts. My favourite thing was his guns that he used in the films and tv show. It was amazing it had props used in the tv show and written letters that were used in the show. After we finished we went to the Sherlock Holmes shop I bought a Sherlock book.
After that we went to the natural history museum. It had amazing historic artifacts and skeletons. My favourite thing was the dinosaurs. It had many fossils and real dinosaur bones re-constructed to make the real dinosaur body figure. It was very fascinating and mesmerising.
After that we went to Namco Funscape which is an arcade park. I mostly played basketball shooting games. the man next to me beat the high score five times. He got 435 points. My best was 169 points. We also did the laser maze which is a room full of laser that you have to dodge and get to the other side. When I got inside I forgot what to do. But I still came 11th of the week.
Thats our 5th day in London.
